Spreading the Joy!

So, because I'm in Pennsylvania I am the last to find out everything going on in my family.

Well, there is GREAT news!!

You all may recall my desire to be a father or an uncle?
One of my cousins recently got married and his wife, who I've met and I think is great, is pregnant. In fact, so pregnant that she was due earlier this week but apparently she's got a stubborn kid in there and he's very comfortable where he is. His name is going to be Brady.

And I can't wait to meet him! :)

OK, so maybe it's a little early for me, but if your cousin's wife is having a baby, what does that make you? Congratulations, by the way!

uncle-cousin-in-law?

When I got married, I immediately became a grand aunt and aunt many times. My husband is ten years older than I am. We traveled to his home town and I held my grand niece. What a thrill.

Steve, I don't think I am actually any relation to this baby. Our family tree is very complicated, and even though this cousin is my age (well, older than me), he's the generation behind me and (I think) twice removed....on my dad's half sister's side...so I think it just makes me a guy who shows up at family events. :P

Or something like that. :)

So, apparently, I am Brady's third cousin twice (or maybe thrice) removed. We're not positive. Our family tree is so ridiculous. I'll draw it out and post it some time, and all of your heads will explode from the complexity. :P
